Culinary

Banquet Line Cooks /On-Call/ $12.50 per hour 

Minimum one (1) year minimum culinary experience or training equivalent. Ability to follow recipes. Ability to follow directions. Ability to work without daily supervision. Ability to focus attention to details in performing repetitive tasks. Must be able to handle multiple tasks with the ability to prioritize work assignments. Excellent guest service skills and attitude. Enthusiasm for working in a team oriented, fast paced environment that fosters creativity. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

The Oak Line Cook II /Full-Time /$14.00 per hour

The Line Cook 2 assists the culinary team in providing Five Diamond standards of service and cooking to guests while practicing OVI&S policies and procedures. The must successfully plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of cold food production to include, but not limited to cold menu items, cold line specials, displays presentations of cheeses, fruits, salads, dressings, compotes, vegetables, sandwiches and desserts in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. Direct, train and monitor performance of Pantry Persons. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment. Requirements: Minimum of (2-3) years of experience in an upscale restaurant or hotel fine dining room. This position requires the ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment; proven success in teamwork, innovation and creativity, high personal standards and a strong desire to fulfill guest expectations; flexibility with schedule, training in sanitation and Spanish skills are helpful. Formal culinary training is preferred. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.  

 

Engineering 

Engineer II/Full-Time/$15.50 per hour

The Engineer II assists Facilities Technician III and conducts minor to intermediate repairs and maintenance on plumbing, physical structure, electrical  fixtures, machinery, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, spa, kitchen and laundry equipment, using hand and power tools, electrician, and plumbing tools. Will complete work orders as assigned by supervisor; respond immediately to guest room maintenance requests, etc.; respond to emergencies; and perform necessary assignments to ensure guest and employee safety. This candidate will also back up loss prevention for emergency situations. A successful candidate must have basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, pool care, and hand power tools. Ability to work well with others. Ability to take direction and work unsupervised. Must possess excellent people skills, professional appearance, be friendly, courteous, and a team player, enjoy working with people; be well-dressed and groomed. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

 

Food & Beverage

Food & Beverage Outlet Supervisor /Full-Time/DOE

The Food & Beverage provides direct daily supervision and leadership to the Food & Beverage staff. This hands-on, energetic individual works collaboratively with Food & Beverage mangers in the efficient delivery of the highest standards of five diamond service to our guests. Schedules and delegates duties to the staff. Must show a passion for excellence. Interacts/coordinates with all divisions of the resort and recommends best practices and solutions to ensure effectiveness and consistency in guest service and quality. Leads by example, acts as a role model for others, and exhibits the highest levels of professionalism. Acts as a resource for the improvement of the guest experience and future growth and development of the resort. A minimum four (4) year experience as a Food & Beverage Supervisor or Manager, plus a minimum two (2) year fine dining experience or Minimum three (3) years supervisory experience in high end restaurants. Thorough knowledge of Food & Beverage point-of-sale systems. Thorough knowledge of wines and spirits. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language. Ability to perform basic arithmetic. Knowledge of fine service related to special-event planning and execution. Ability to work cohesively as part of a team. Anticipate and identify problem sources and resolutions. Think clearly, quickly and make concise decisions. Ability to prioritize projects and assignments. Multi task while maintaining a hospitable and professional demeanor. Ensure adherence to established timelines. Manage multiple projects and processes at a time. Pool Supervisor /Full-Time /DOE

The Main Pool Supervisor provides direct daily supervision and leadership to the Main pool Staff. This hands-on, energetic individual works collaboratively with the Main Pool Manger in the efficient delivery of the highest standards of five diamond service to our guests. Schedules and delegates duties to the Pool staff. Must enjoy working outdoors. Must show a passion for excellence. Interacts/coordinates with all divisions of the resort and recommends best practices and solutions to ensure effectiveness and consistency in guest service and quality. Leads by example, acts as a role model for others, and exhibits the highest levels of professionalism. Acts as a resource for the improvement of the guest experience and future growth and development of the resort. An ideal candidate must have excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English Language. Minimun 2 years of a Supervisor role in F&B outlet. Excellent people skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to work productively with other operating departments. Ability to handle obstacles in a positive and professional manner and to effectively communicate these problems, along with suggested solutions to Manager. Maintain professional appearance, behavior, integrity, and openness to Associates and guests. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to work without constant, direct supervision. Be active in the role of safety and security. Be cognizant of all emergency reporting procedures. Ability to be a clear thinker, analyze and resolve problems exercising good judgment. Ability to focus attention to details. Ability to remain calm and courteous in demanding and difficult customer situations. Ability to enforce hotel's standards, policies and procedures. Excellent motivational skills and positive energy with internal and outside guest interactions. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of all guests and pertinent Inn information. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Banquet Server /On-Call/ $9.00 per hour + gratuities

Must be 21 years or older. Minimum 1 year of serving experience, preferably in the hotel industry and or an upscale establishment. Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Must have ability to lift 15-45 lbs and stand for a 6-8 hour shift. Must possess excellent people skills, professional appearance, and be a team player. Must have ability to read, write, and speak in English. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Joe & Go Cashier/ Temp/$11.00 per hour + gratuities

Minimum one (1) year of food serving experience, preferably in the hotel industry. Possess a basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations, and etiquette. Must have ability to lift 15-45 lbs and stand for a 6-8 hour shift. Must possess excellent people skills, professional appearance, and be a team player. Golf

Golf Cart Attendant/ Part-Time/ $9.00 per hour + gratuities 

The Golf Cart Attendant provides each golfer and hotel guest with Five Diamond service.  Transports golf carts in and out of golf storage facility. Loads golf bags onto golf carts for daily golf course operation. Washes and cleans carts after golf course use. Monitors range ball levels on driving range. Assists Starter with regular golf course operational duties. Friendly, hospitable and gracious.  Welcomes and serves all guests while positively promoting golf and the OVI&S. Must have: Valid California Driver's license. Approachable demeanor: naturally friendly, professional attitude; Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in the English language. Ability to remain calm and courteous with demanding/difficult customer situations; Proven ability to work as part of a team. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping Supervisor /Full Time/ DOE

Housekeeping Supervisor provides direct daily supervision and leadership to the Housekeeping Staff. This hands-on, energetic individual works collaboratively with the Housekeeping Manger in the efficient delivery of the highest standards of five diamond service to our guests. Schedules and delegates duties to the housekeeping staff. Must show a passion for excellence. Interacts/coordinates with all divisions of the resort and recommends best practices and solutions to ensure effectiveness and consistency in guest service and quality. Leads by example, acts as a role model for others, and exhibits the highest levels of professionalism. Acts as a resource for the improvement of the guest experience and future growth and development of the resort.

Candidate must have excellent reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English & Spanish Language. 2 years in housekeeping or Housekeeping Coordinator experience. Excellent people skills. Ability to perform basic mathematical computations. Ability to work productively with other operating departments. Ability to handle obstacles in a positive and professional manner and to effectively communicate these problems, along with suggested solutions to Manager. Maintain professional appearance, behavior, integrity, and openness to Associates and guests. Ability to prioritize and organize work assignments. Ability to work without constant, direct supervision. Be active in the role of safety and security. Be cognizant of all emergency reporting procedures. Loss Prevention & Safety

Loss Prevention Officer/ Full-Time/ $13.50 - $15.00 per hour (Overnight position available) 

The Loss Prevention Officer provides a safe environment for guests and employees . They minimize opportunities for loss and damage and act to deter any agent or element from jeopardizing persons or property in or about the resort. Respond to all emergency calls. Write detailed incident reports on incidents, which occur, on property. Requirements: Minimum 1 yr experience in hospitality. Security, law enforcement, military or loss prevention with customer services experience preferred. TIPPS certified. CPR & First Aid Certification. No criminal record. Candidate must possess strong attention to detail, problem solving, excellent communication, and organizational skills. Must be able to communicate with diverse personalities; have an outgoing personality, be friendly, courteous and enjoy working with people; be well-dressed and groomed. Must have ability to read, write, and speak in English. A valid driver's license and flexible schedule are required. Ability to work weekends and holidays.

Retail

Retail Associates/ Full-Time/ $11.00 per hour

The Retail Associate is responsible for guest experience in the retail outlet: stocking, cleaning all shelves and fixtures/furniture, and all guests' shopping experience. They have high guest contact (in person or on the phone) and successful candidate requires a love of giving superior service, using a pleasant and calm voice with perfect diction, and 5 diamond standards adhered to. Must have: Ability to handle cash, credit cards and gift cards with accuracy. Ability to perform basic arithmetic including use of percentages. Ability to use email. Ability to count and record inventory accurately. Ability to prioritize the work for the day/week. Ability to read and effectively write, including maintaining filing system and logs. Ability to operate motor vehicle (for example: retail cart). Ability to lift and move approximately 30 lbs. including setting and storing in overhead areas. Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

 

Shop Ojai Coordinator/ Full-Time/ $14.00 per hour

The Shop Ojai Coordinator is responsible for processing ecommerce orders via the web admin software; handling phone calls for new orders and/or customer service; processing all orders in POS system; pick and pull items for orders; generate packing slips; packing/shipping and gift wrap for FedEx standards; processing FedEx to go out daily. Must have: Ability to handle cash, credit cards and gift cards with accuracy. Ability to perform basic arithmetic including use of percentages. Ability to use email. Ability to count and record inventory accurately. Ability to prioritize the work for the day/week. Ability to read and effectively write, including maintaining filing system and logs. Ability to operate motor vehicle (for example: retail cart). Ability to lift and move approximately 30 lbs. including setting and storing in overhead areas. Able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

 

Spa

Massage Therapist/On-Call/$ Commission and Gratuity

The Massage Therapist provides professional massage at Spa Ojai, and is involved in the operation of the spa and guest service. They will be highly-trained and qualified in the latest treatments and committed to using the purest products of Spa Ojai. They will join a team that consists of highly educated, passionate and accomplished therapists and masseuses. A successful candidate must possess current state massage therapist license (CAMTC). 500 hours of instruction from an accredited school of massage therapy, or certified by the American Massage Therapy Association. Must possess current professional massage therapist liability insurance. Qualified to perform Swedish and one other type of massage, preferably deep tissue. Must possess good communication skills (both written and oral) and make the guests feel comfortable during treatment. Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of all guests and pertinent hotel information. . A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.
