Sous Chef/Full-Time/$18.00 per hourThe Sous Chef will be responsible for direct supervision of prep, line and lead cooks in the absence of the Restaurant Chef. Provide support to the culinary team, demonstrating a creative and innovative approach to cooking. Help provide staff with continuous culinary training and development opportunities.
The Sous Chef will have the ability to learn and assist in the following: Create menu offerings and specials that reflect a high level of culinary expertise and creativity. Ensure products are consistent in quality and presentation. Meet established food cost budget. Meet established labor costs. Complete purchase orders and conduct inventory. Create schedules, learn Timesaver program to do payroll edits, learn applicable California labor laws. Train, supervise and direct hourly associates for productivity, standards (including behavior), meal breaks, attendance and grooming. Provide feedback to associates. Communicate to all levels of the organization via e-mail and outlook calendar. Ability to create presentations, written training and present clear communication across varied skill level. Ability to become the line cook trainer for the culinary department.
Position qualifications: Graduation from an accredited Culinary School Program. Minimum four (4) years' experience as a line cook. Minimum two (2) years' experience as a Lead Cook in a Luxury Four or Five Diamond hotel/resort/restaurant. Knowledge of a variety of cuisines. Ability to supervise associates. Knowledge in food costing, prep lists, station set up diagrams. Proficiency and ability to train staff in all food stations. Proven organizational skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to lead associates in a manner consistent with our culture and standards. Bi-lingual candidate is desired.
The Oak/Line Cook III /Full-Time /$13.00 per hour
The Line Cook 3 assists the culinary team in providing Five Diamond standards of service and cooking to guests while practicing OVI&S policies and procedures. They are responsible for picking up and delivering items used in the food preparation and service in kitchen from storage/preparation areas. He/she will provide needed assistance in the set-up and break-down of the various food stations. He/she will also assist in the maintenance and organization of storage areas. Works to ensure that all needed kitchen supplies are obtained from storage and properly distributed in a timely manner. Requirements: Minimum of (2-3) years of experience in an upscale restaurant or hotel fine dining room. This position requires the ability to work with minimum supervision in a fast-paced environment; proven success in teamwork, innovation and creativity, high personal standards and a strong desire to fulfill guest expectations; flexibility with schedule, training in sanitation and Spanish skills are helpful. Formal culinary training is preferred. A flexible schedule is required and must be able to work weekends and holidays.
Engineer II/Full-Time/$15.00 per hour
The Engineer II assists Facilities Technician III and conducts minor to intermediate repairs and maintenance on plumbing, physical structure, electrical fixtures, machinery, heating, air conditioning, refrigeration, spa, kitchen and laundry equipment, using hand and power tools, electrician, and plumbing tools. Will complete work orders as assigned by supervisor; respond immediately to guest room maintenance requests, etc.; respond to emergencies; and perform necessary assignments to ensure guest and employee safety. This candidate will also back up loss prevention for emergency situations. A successful candidate must have basic knowledge of electricity, plumbing, pool care, and hand power tools. Ability to work well with others. Ability to take direction and work unsupervised. Food & Beverage Outlet Supervisor /Full-Time/DOE
The Food & Beverage provides direct daily supervision and leadership to the Food & Beverage staff. This hands-on, energetic individual works collaboratively with Food & Beverage mangers in the efficient delivery of the highest standards of five diamond service to our guests. Schedules and delegates duties to the staff. Must show a passion for excellence. Interacts/coordinates with all divisions of the resort and recommends best practices and solutions to ensure effectiveness and consistency in guest service and quality. Leads by example, acts as a role model for others, and exhibits the highest levels of professionalism. Acts as a resource for the improvement of the guest experience and future growth and development of the resort. Maravilla Food Runner/Full Time/$11.50 per hour
The Maravilla Food Runner is ideally positioned to enhance the guest experience and plays an essential role in the resort's goal of exceeding high guest expectations. Remaining constantly aware of the restaurant environments, engaging with guests, anticipating their needs and taking initiative to improve their stay will be focus areas for the Maravilla Food Runner. Minimum two (2) years of food running/serving experience, preferably in the hotel industry and or upscale establishment. Golf Cart Attendant/Part-Time/$9.00 per hour + gratuities
The Golf Cart Attendant provides each golfer and hotel guest with Five Diamond service. Transports golf carts in and out of golf storage facility. Loads golf bags onto golf carts for daily golf course operation. Washes and cleans carts after golf course use. Monitors range ball levels on driving range. Assists Starter with regular golf course operational duties. Friendly, hospitable and gracious. Welcomes and serves all guests while positively promoting golf and the OVI&S. Benefits Coordinator/Full-Time/Starts at $18.00 per hour
As an integral part of the benefits department, the HR Benefits Coordinator will be responsible for the following: Planning for and conducting group benefits enrollment and education presentations in English and Spanish. Serving as the primary point of contact for associates with enrollment or claim issues related to insurance plans. Acting as a liaison between the associate and the insurance carrier including interfacing with associates at all levels as well as our benefit providers. Assisting in 401(k) enrollment (including tracking, notification and follow-up) and educational sessions. Creating and running reports utilizing ADP and Covantage systems and Benefits data entry, administration, tracking, filing and changes (i.e., flex spending, 401(k), health, dental) as well as filing responsibilities. Assist with benefits communication (Benefits Outlook) in English and Spanish; as well as education and associate relations/social events. Serve as primary technology contact person with third party administrator. Communicating in a manner that is open, articulate, constructive, and effective with a "can-do" attitude. Ability to read, write, communicate and translate in Spanish is required.

The Recruitment Administrative Assistant is the first point of contact for all line level employment inquiries. They will screen applicants according to established job descriptions and profiles. Will conduct interviews that gauge compatibility with essential functions of OVI&S positions while assessing each candidate's ability/willingness to learn and adhere to the highest standards of service. Review all incoming applications. Oversee open interview process. Communicate NTY "No Thank You" letters and calls. Conduct pre-employment background, reference checks and drug screens. Monitor New Associate Orientation sign-ups. Participate in the following: on-site and off-site job fair attendance and planning, update current job openings, create collateral material as well as advertising for open positions via web-based promotions, newspapers, career centers, schools, fliers and other creative methods as recruitment needs require, monitor recruitment expenses and invoices.
The successful candidate will be bilingual in Spanish, have a minimum of (1) year experience in recruitment, hotel operations and/or human resources in a luxury hotel or resort. Must have excellent communication, organization and interpersonal skills. We require a very professional presentation, excellent judgement and evaluation capabilities. This position is responsible for partnering with our management team to ensure recruitment is handled in a proactive manner to ensure the consistent delivery of service to our guests. Must be proficient with MS Office 2010; any HRIS/ADP system skills are a plus.
Reservation Agent /Full-Time /$14.00 per hour
The reservation agent must enjoy making the sale by balancing their savvy sales technique and a gracious warm style of guest service that we demand. They must be comfortable handling high call volume, answering incoming Reservations calls in accordance with AAA Five Diamond standards. They assist guests in customizing their reservations through the Springer Miller System (SMS). They ensure detail accuracy and completeness and book and sell property activities including Spa, Golf, and Food & Beverage. Also contacts guests prior to arrival to ensure completion of the guest experience. Inputs internal reservations. Works cohesively as part of a team in completing tasks such as Next Day Arrival process, reservations booked, assists in running traces and cancellation reports. Minimum one (1) year reservations, sales or related experience. Requires prior experience handling high phone call volume. Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking the English language. Ability to perform basic arithmetic. Warm and welcoming demeanor and exceptional phone etiquette. Must have an outgoing personality, be friendly, courteous and enjoy working with people.
