I was attracted to the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa because I had heard from other employees that the Inn took care of its associates, gave them opportunities to grow with the company, valued their input and of course because it is a beautiful setting for a work environment. There is a constant strive to be the best in our industry and with that goal in mind, there becomes continual opportunity to grow. When I started at the Inn I was an Administrative Assistant. Through hard work and proving my ability to take charge of all aspects of the administration in our office, I was promoted to Administrative Coordinator. Later I was given the added responsibility and recognition of the Key Operator for our software system, a role I feel very proud of. The one comment that I hear over and over, that I believe continually sets us apart from our competition, is our friendly staff, who are always willing to go the extra mile for a guest. I feel our guests feel relaxed, well taken care of and are anxious to come back. There is a friendly team atmosphere, with success as a united motivating goal. I am treated with respect and consider many of my managers and peers to be close friends. I feel proud of the fact that I have helped make changes within our office that make it run more efficiently and that the managers I work with feel my contribution has been a part of their success as well. I see myself growing and learning more about the Inn, moving into a management role and making an even grander contribution toward the success of our splendid resort.
